Traditionally in the first weekend of June, a wonderful musical event takes place on the island! But because in 2025 this would fall on the Whitsun weekend, this year`s event is in the month of May.

The Schiermonnikoog Music and Singing Festival;

- friday evening performances in the Stag.
- Saturday performances of the choirs are in the Got Tjark and those of the corps in the Stag.
- the outdoor performances take place in the centre of the village, in the alcove near the town hall and in music dome the Beukennootje.
