The museum is open all year round on Sunday afternoons from 13:00-16:00 and from the spring holidays until the Christmas holidays also on Wednesday afternoons from 13:00-16:00.

An entire bunker village was built in the dunes of Schiermonnikoog during the war years; it was part of the Atlantic Wall.
De Wasserman is also part of it and stands on top of a dune, offering a panoramic view of the island.
